You’ve poured your heart into writing a blog post. You hit publish, share it on your channels, and wait. Then you notice that even if you’re getting traffic, it seems like the time spent on your blogs is very little.

Many businesses create amazing content that unfortunately doesn’t get read. The good news? There are practical and simple ways to boost your blog readership. Here’s how to attract more readers to your blog and keep them coming back.

1. Start With Regular Keyword Research

One of the most effective ways to increase your content readership is to make sure your content is discoverable. That starts with keyword research. Keywords help you understand what your community is actually searching for and how they phrase their questions. Remember, the way we understand something and how we search for it can be completely different from what our community would do.

You don’t need to use complicated SEO tools, there are quality and user-friendly options out there. You can also use Google Trends, or even typing questions into forums and various search engines and looking at the language people use. Pay attention to long-tail keywords and specific phrases.

By including the right keywords naturally into your content, especially in titles, subheadings, and early paragraphs, your blog becomes easier to find. That means more readers who are already looking for exactly what you’re offering.

2. Create Content Based on Customer Questions

Your customer support team can help you come up with a lot of content ideas. Every question, complaint, or bit of confusion that your customers share is an opportunity to write a helpful blog post or create a detailed video that you can repurpose into a guide or blog.

Let’s say you’re a software company and customers keep asking how to reset their passwords. That’s a perfect blog topic. It’s searchable, useful, and shows that you listen to your customers.
