After almost an entire year of design and development, Stencil is finally here! This marks the beginning of a big step for us. We’ve set out to make the most simple and easy image creation tool ever…and I think we’ve done it!
Introducing Stencil
We’re pleased to finally announce that Stencil is ready for primetime! Speaking to hundreds of our customers over the past year has been an incredible experience and we’ve learned so much about what you want to have in an image creation tool. Countless hours have been spent trying to solve for all the unique cases and although we’ve come a long way, there’s still a lot to learn.
So just a quick recap of what’s happened:
- Stencil used to be called Share As Image…we changed our name and completely rebuilt our product over the last year.
- Stencil has dozens of new features.
- We’ve designed Stencil to be the fastest and easiest way to create images for sharing on social media (but you create images for other stuff too like blogs, emails, presentations and more)
If you’re an existing Share As Image user, it might take a few minutes to get used to Stencil, but once you see how flexible it is, you’ll never be able to look back.

Je suis à Paris et j utilisais shareasimage depuis 3 mois.
Le transfert du compte vers stencil s est fait sans difficulté.
Le nouveau Systeme est beaucoup plus stable (quasi pas de bug), ce qui évite de perdre du temps.
Le choix des photos est énorme et de très bonne qualité.
L utilisation des options est facile, comme c était le cas avant.
Le filtre darkness est beaucoup mieux que le précédent.
Juste quelques suggestions :
– Rendre mieux visible le curseur sur le texte car on ne voit pas bien où on écrit.
– classer les photos par thème mais garder quand même la possibilité de faire la recherche sur mots clés (en français si possible, ce serait cool 😉

The choice of pictures is huge and very good .

The darkness filter is much better than the last.
Just a few suggestions:
– Make more visible the cursor on the text because it is not clear which one writes .
– Classify the photos by theme but still keep the ability to do research on keywords ( in French if possible, it would be cool 😉
