Creating & sharing micro-content<\/h3>\n

Everyday we are bombarded with a ton of information – brands trying to make their way into our lives. With such short attention spans and so little time, they need to capture our  attention quickly. Micro-content is the key to making that happen.<\/p>\n

New York Times bestseller and social media expert, Gary Vaynerchuk recently released his book, Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook<\/a> which focuses on the importance of how to connect with social media marketing strategies that really work. The book gives amazing insight into his brilliant mind. No surprise there as both Thank You Economy and Crush It! are a must read.<\/p>\n

Gary focuses on a whole section called It’s Micro. He defines micro-content as,<\/p>\n

micro-content \u2018mycro-content n: tiny, unique nuggets of information, humor, commentary or inspiration that you reimagine every day, every hour, as you respond to today\u2019s culture in real time in platform\u2019s native language format.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It is about creating and consuming content quickly and easily. We are all always on the go, and the quicker we can absorb what your brand is about, the quicker we can buy what your brand is selling. Twitter, 140 characters. Vine, 6 seconds. Instagram, only images.<\/p>\n

In Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook Gary points to many well-known corporate brands such as: Mercedes, Jeep and Air Canada to name a few, that should have added both their caption and their logo on top of the image they are posting on their Facebook page. This will catch the readers eye, increase visibility, engagement and brands their posts.<\/p>\n

There are a endless ways  to use the app. To add captions to image post s on Facebook, to help promote a blogpost you just wrote, or easily share the reviews on your latest book as images on Pinterest to spread the word are just a few examples. If you own a website then you can become a Share As Image Publisher<\/a> and just paste the code on your site. It  allows users to highlight text on your website and create an image with it.
